Sunday
Service at the local nursing home
The warmth that characterizes St.
Luke's Scituate is demonstrated and fostered by our many parish activities.
Some of these projects, like the
annual Harvest Fair and our periodic biennial Goods and Services
Spring Auction provide a means to augment the funds needed for the work of
the church, while having fun together.
Others activities complement and enhance the ministries of St. Luke's, like
the Earth Day picnic at a local conservation area or our Maundy Thursday
Seder Suppers, or Coventry Dinners, where we not only share a delicious
meal, but also learn together - like the secrets of successful family
travel, or an appreciation for the culture of Eva, the young Mexican girl
sponsored by the parish.
The church has been an active member in
the Scituate community. The strength of St. Luke's lies in our strong
fellowship and commitment to one another. As an active participant in the
Scituate community, we extend the use of our parish to worthy causes in need
of a meeting place: Alcoholics Anonymous, The Rotary Club, Mom's of
Multiples, and the animal shelter.
Our financial support of organizations is wide and varied. We are committed
to supporting a broad variety of organizations in our local community as
well as nationally and internationally. Our support includes: Ministries and
