Welcome to St. Luke’s!

 This is an exciting time in the life of the parish.  St. Luke’s was established as a mission in the 1950s.  After the short tenure of two vicars/rectors the Rev. Ray Low served the parish for 39 years.  Along with the committed lay leadership he built up a strong congregation which equipped people to live faithful lives.

 After a two year search process, and two interim priests, the Revs Patty Barrett and Kelly O’Connell, I was called as the newest rector.  April 16, 2006 brings my first year anniversary here.

 If you visit St. Luke’s here is what I think you’ll find:

  •   welcoming smiles as you enter the door;

  •   lively worship in a modern space fully equipped for handicapped accessibility;

  •   lots and lots of kids of all ages, with programs designed to educate them and invite them   to find an     extended, church, family;

  •   men and women in active retirement serving their church and their community;

  •   emerging youth groups for middle and senior high age members;

  •   adults of all educational levels, of all ages, single, married, divorced, with and without children, gay and straight, conservative and progressive.

  •   a supportive community in times of celebration and challenges.

  •   nurture for your soul, room to seek, permission not to have all of the answers, and an invitation to grow the faith already present.

We welcome you to our life together.  We look forward to getting to know you.  We are already anticipating your presence, energy, gifts and interests.
